Movie posters

Looking at both movie posters I've learnt that I have learnt key conventions that I will have to use in my poster. The title must be in a larger font so it is clear to the audience that this is the title of the movie. The release date must be present below the title and be at a smaller font, delivering information to the audience. There is always a slogan which gives an insight to the films narrative without giving too much away, this is usually in a smaller size font at the same size as the actors/actress that are present in the film. Due to the fact that my film will be a art house film this means that I will include the director as a key piece of information on its own and not in with the information of institutions. The information about institutions is usually in a much smaller font and this is not as intensive in art house films as in blockbusters. The main protagonist will be central of the poster and their gaze will be directed to the consumer.
